In the Journal of the American Mcdical Association of November 19th, 1921, there appeared a note by Maurice C. Hall on the use of Carbon tetrachloride for the removal of hookworms in animals. Dr. Hall is the senior zoologist, United States Bureau of Animal Industry, and he found this drug to be a powerful anthelmintic in dogs* and suggested its trial in human uncinariasis.
